The re:build gathering for regenerative professionals (21-24 Apr 2022, Netherlands)

“On a personal level, I feel that with this tribe of heart-driven action takers I found a "home" I've been searching for all my life.”

Alexander Keehnen

“We don't have to wait for someone else to save us. We can get together and build the world that we so desperately long for. We just have to show up and be true to our hearts.”

Jan Geselle

There are increasingly more people on the journey of finding home and it seems that we’re all getting closer. In the end, it’s about the feeling inside but also feeling at home in the world.

re:buid attendants having fun

What does it take to build a new world?

How do we let go of the old soul-destroying paradigm that still makes up most of everyday life?

And when we do, what do we build in its place?

It was with these questions in mind that around 90 heart-centered people gathered at this year’s re:build event in the Netherlands, between the 21st and the 24th of April, in Amersfoort, Netherlands.

The event was a great success. In fact, the excitement and the beauty of those days were still alive when we met for Gaianet’s Monthly Family Gathering in April, and even those who were not there were able to feel lifted by the testimonials of the fellow Gaians who attended.

This inspired us to collect a few personal notes and write this article, so we could share the experience with the wider Gaianet community. The co-contributors of this article were Alexander Keehnen, Bart Hoorweg and Jan Geselle.

Upon reading their accounts, four key ideas stand out, as described below.

1.       Love is the driver

The first idea is that, undeniably, the glue that binds us all together as we move towards a better world is LOVE.

Love is the energy that fuels our bodies and inspires our minds as we design and implement solutions for a new world.

Love is the fire in our hearts as we get together to work and play.

It’s the anchor that keeps us grounded as we work through all the challenges of embarking on such a great mission.

Interestingly, this aspect also emerged during the event through the way people connected physically. In fact, Bart reflected that huggling and cuddling seemed to be a way for people to check if there was a resonance.

In the words of Alexander, “there is something magical about the way we connect together.”

2.       We are already there

The second idea that emerges is that the New World is already here, and the physical gathering of like-minded people served to highlight all the great steps already taken towards a better way of living, connecting, and simply being.

As Jan would put it, “we talked a lot about specific ways to save our planet and to live in community, but I realized more and more that we were actually already living it.”

3.       We are all one

The third aspect that became apparent was that in this new home there is a sense of unity and equality, despite the existence of a wide diversity of people.

This stood out in the testimonials, which reflected that the line was blurred between “organizers, workshop hosts, and participants” (Jan), and in how “the personal and professional began to blur as we all show up as whole sovereign humans dedicated to this mission which is greater than any of us alone” (Alexander).

Quoting Bart, there was a feeling that “this is my tribe, this is my people”. Bart also described that what people have in common is that they are effectively taking action towards building a better world.

4.       Gratitude

Our co-contributors reflected the gratitude of the attendants towards the organizers of such a fantastic experience:

“It was incredibly empowering and I am very grateful for everyone who made it happen” (Jan).

“I'm expressing my great appreciation for the organizing team. You gave us a wonderful gift, a continuous series of magical moments with amazing people... the value of which can hardly be expressed in words. Thank you!” (Alexander)

Gaianet’s Role

It was also noted that Gaianet’s role in the development of a New Earth was enacted during this event through two powerful workshops delivered by members of our core team Alexander Keehnen and Bart Hoorweg, but also just generally through the “vibes” they brought to the event when interacting with people and facilitating connections.

One of the workshops was dedicated to “New Earth Ecosystem Mapping”, and it was a reflection of how “Gaianet is set up to continuously connect fellow love warriors with the right people, tools, and solutions they need on their journey” (Alexander). This role was also highlighted by Bart, who described “a kind of presence that is all about good vibes, connecting heart-to-heart, meaningful conversations, being able to provide relevant connections.”

The other workshop was entitled “Heart-Conscious Collaboration” and it highlighted Gaianet’s mission of helping to create new ways of connecting and bringing “lots of value in this area of helping heart-conscious teams get into effective and lasting co-creation”, by bringing the “embodiment of the female energy: space to be, enjoy, laugh... so that insight naturally comes to the souls dedicated to a regenerative future” (Alexander).
